Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 02-10-2025

1. Who we are
Cy Web Designs (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides fully managed, subscription-based one-page websites on a rental basis. By ordering or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

2. What you are buying (subscription rental)
You subscribe to a managed one-page website service (domain management, hosting, SSL, maintenance, updates, backups, basic on-page SEO, and support). You are renting the service—you do not own the website, template, theme, code, server, or any underlying systems.

3. What you own (your content)
You retain ownership of content you supply (e.g., logos, text, photos, trademarks) and you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, adapt and use that content for the sole purpose of delivering the service. You confirm you have all rights and permissions to use the content you submit and that it is lawful and accurate.

4. What we own (templates, code, systems)
All templates, designs, code, CMS/configuration, build tools and systems remain our intellectual property or our licensors’. During an active subscription we grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the implemented site on our managed platform. No source-code or asset transfer is included in this plan.

5. Domain name
The domain is registered and administered under Cy Web Designs’ registrar account for service continuity. Use of the domain is licensed to you (the Client) only while your subscription is active and in good standing.

Cy Web Designs will not repurpose, resell, or use the domain for any other client or purpose during your active subscription.

Domain transfer to you is not included by default; if agreed, it requires a separate written agreement and settlement of all outstanding fees and applicable transfer/administration charges. Until such transfer is completed, Cy Web Designs remains the administrative controller of the domain.

If the subscription ends and you do not request a transfer within 30 days, Cy Web Designs may allow the domain to lapse or may reuse it at its sole discretion.

6. Plan scope & limitations (very important)
• This plan is strictly for a single-page website. It cannot be converted into a multi-page site, a blog, or an e-shop under this subscription.
• If you need extra pages, a blog, e-commerce, integrations, or custom features, contact us for a separate proposal and pricing.
• Technical limits and fair use apply (e.g., reasonable content/section length, storage and bandwidth suitable for small business brochure sites). We may recommend upgrades if usage consistently exceeds normal limits.

7. Ordering, onboarding & changes
After you choose a template and provide your content/brand assets, we configure the site. Turnaround depends on receiving complete materials and our workload. Minor copy/image changes are included; structural or functional changes beyond plan scope require a custom quote.

8. Payments, renewal & suspension
Subscriptions are billed in advance (monthly or yearly) and auto-renew until cancelled. If payment fails or is overdue, we may suspend or deactivate the website and related services until payment is received. Fees are in EUR; taxes/charges may apply. Prices and inclusions may change on renewal; we will communicate updates in advance when practicable.

9. Cancellation & end of service
You may cancel at any time to stop future renewals. When your paid period ends, the website and domain usage under this plan are deactivated. We can, upon request within 30 days of deactivation, provide a courtesy export of your provided content only (text/images you supplied). We do not provide our template, codebase, project files, or platform configuration on export. Data/backups are for internal continuity and are not part of deliverables.

10. Acceptable use
You must not use the site to violate laws or third-party rights; distribute malware; post illegal, hateful, or adult content; or engage in spam or deceptive practices. We may remove or disable content and/or suspend the service where reasonably needed to protect the platform or comply with law.

11. Maintenance, uptime & support
We manage hosting, updates, monitoring, security and routine backups. Reasonable maintenance windows may occur. Third-party outages may impact availability. Support is provided during business hours via email; response times vary with workload and severity.

12. Third-party services
We may use reputable third parties (e.g., hosting, analytics, forms, CDN). Their terms may apply to relevant components. Features that rely on third parties can change or be withdrawn if those services change their terms or availability.

13. Warranties & disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement). We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation or that security measures will be error-proof.

14. Liability cap
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to the service is limited to the fees you paid to us for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, etc.).

15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses arising from (i) your content; (ii) your use of the service in breach of these Terms or law; or (iii) alleged infringement caused by content you supply.

16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; the “Last Updated” date will change. Material changes will apply from your next renewal or, if earlier, 30 days after posting. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

17. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus. Courts of Cyprus have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer protections where relevant.
